Our practice is fortunate to have experienced, compassionate, friendly, and nurturing staff who take pride in giving our young patients the personalized pediatric care that they deserve. A vital part of the care that we give to your child begins with our understanding staff who work hard to manage and maintain a professional, caring, and supportive environment for our patients. Dr. Patrusky is a highly educated professional who has undergone rigorous academic and clinical training in pediatrics. We maintain a high level of expertise through continuing education in order to provide the most up-to-date care for the young patients that we are privileged to serve.

We believe in a team approach to your child’s health and well-being. With this in mind, our staff collaborates with parents to provide the highest level of care. Our two highly skilled pediatric RN’s are here to help provide tender care and assist you and your child to ensure that you have a pleasant experience in our office.

Our receptionist, at the front desk, will always greet you with a big smile, answer any questions you may have, and guide you to make sure that you have a positive experience with us.

Dr. Eric Patrusky

Dr. Eric Patrusky is a Board Certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Patrusky was raised in Long Island, New York. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York.

After completing post graduate training at Delaware County Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and Pediatric post graduate training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and the Albert Einstein Medical Center/Temple University Hospital System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he worked in a large pediatric practice outside of Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Dr. Patrusky was awarded several honors during his undergraduate and graduate training. This included the Emory University Department of Dermatology Award for Outstanding Endeavor in Research. As a Senior Resident, he was awarded the Albert Einstein Medical Center Pediatric Resident Teacher of the Year Award as well as the Luis B. Schatz Memorial Award for Outstanding Resident of the Year.

Dr. Patrusky has been providing care and guidance to the children and families of Sarasota and Manatee Counties since 1992. Active in his community, Dr. Patrusky has given lectures on breast feeding and immunizations. He has provided newborn care education classes for parents and for prospective adoptive parents. He researched, developed, and implemented infection control guidelines for a large area preschool. He has also been a volunteer physician for the 200 plus member Riverview High School Kiltie Band in Sarasota. Dr. Patrusky’s love for teaching not only applies to children and their families. He enjoys his responsibilities as a Physician Preceptor for medical students from Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also actively involved in the education of medical students from Florida State University School of Medicine where he holds a position of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences.

He has served on various medical committees at area hospitals and was selected as the first Chairman of  Pediatrics at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota in 1995. He has also held appointments on various medical committees at several well- known national health insurance companies.

His most recent accomplishments involved his participation as Principal Investigator in Phase III Trials of various vaccines which have subsequently received FDA approval.

Dedicated to the care of children, Dr. Patrusky provides personalized, attentive, and compassionate care to his young patients and their families. He places great emphasis on preventative care to try to prevent illness and injury and teaches and guides families on how to best care for their children. His unique hands on and whole body approach allows him to combine today’s medical technology with his sense of hearing to listen caringly to his patients, his vision to see them as whole individuals, and his hands to help diagnose and treat injury and illness. He enjoys collaborating and partnering with patients to optimize the health, well- being, and development of their children.
